Premier Marble Care In NYC And Astoria, NY
Marble is beautiful, but it shows wear fast in busy NYC homes and buildings. Diamond Stone Restorations Corp polishes marble floors, lobbies, stairs, vanities and countertops across Manhattan, Queens and Astoria. We polish with diamond abrasives and water, not wax or coatings, so the shine comes from the stone itself.
Every job starts with a deep marble cleaning that lifts grime, old wax and soap film. Then we hone and polish to the finish you choose and seal the surface to protect it.
Need repair, not just shine? If your marble is etched, cracked or chipped, see our marble restoration service in NYC.

Marble Polishing For Lobbies And Buildings
Lobby and hallway marble takes thousands of steps a day, plus winter salt and grit tracked in from the street. For building managers and co-op and condo boards, we polish in sections and outside busy hours where possible, so residents and visitors can still get through. We control water and dust, protect walls and elevators, and leave a floor that is safe to walk on the same day.
We can also set up a regular polishing schedule so the lobby stays bright between full restorations. For larger lobby projects, see our building lobby floor restoration service.
Honing Vs. Polishing: Choosing Your Finish
Honing and polishing use the same diamond pads at different grits. Honing stops at a coarser grit and leaves a smooth matte or satin finish. It hides scuffs well and is less slippery, so it suits busy floors, kitchens and bathrooms. Polishing goes on to finer grits and leaves a reflective, high-gloss shine that shows off the veining in the stone.
Many lobbies are honed to a satin finish for daily wear, while vanities and feature floors are polished to a high gloss. We help you choose the right level for how the space is used, then finish with floor polishing and a penetrating sealer.
